why not just use a push pull cable?

If you prefer to use a linkage with pivots I sell bushed tubes and or can make you what you need.

I have had little luck with cables, and i was hoping to do it cheaper then what and 8 foot cable would cost. I only need about 7feet, too long for a bicycle cable and a good push pull cable with out end would run about 75$ whichis not in the budget now.

Doug do you have some pic of what you are talking about??

Cable gives you a soft squishy feel. You may not appreciate it until you've tried a good linkage setup ;)

not mine:

Simple is best. I use a direct link if possible. Don't be afraid to place the shifter on the left side either. It's easy to get used to. Adding additional links to move the shifter to the other side will decrease the feel.

Ahh,   Mine came with nothing but the shaft.  Guess I'll have to snoop around ebay tonight and look for one.
