3ooo psi to 4,000 intermittant pump@ 22 gpm...... Pushed by a 27 HP Onan...4 - 1 3/4" cylenders plus the steering thats a 2"
I'm not sure how they figure tonnage But by my calculations around 30 thousand pounds of force with the 5 cyls But that's at 3000 psi I'm not sure what my bypass is set at...I keep turning it down when I break stuff... I'm prolly down to right around 3,000 so I figured 3ooo for pressure...I got way more power than the minni can take without breaking

Does the dope seal as good as the tape? Again the Northern tool rep said not to use tape as it will get into the pump and cylinder and f*ck it up. That dope does it ever get hard? Used it last week and still tacky.
I don't see it having a problem geting hot when the weather is in the 40's. And usualy your spliting wood ether in the fall or early spring. I can't see myself spliting wood in the summer when its 80 degrees outside.
Has anyone seen the dual action log spliter? Where you can split in both directions? Just wondering how its made?
A dual action splitter will have less splitting force on retraction of the cylinder due to the smaller volume displaced with the ram in there. It will work but you need to be aware of that.

5" ram on extension @3000 psi =58905 pounds exerted .
5" ram on retraction @3000 psi and a 1.5" ram =54505 pounds exerted.----Approx 2.2 tons less force.

Went out to local ag stores and look at some skidsteer logsplitters. Holly shit they want alot of money for them. Alot of them are put in the middle of the quick attach plate. Wonder if you will be able to see what your spliting when it's in the middle? Before I weld ours to the quick attach plate, He wants to be in the skidsteer then I'm going to move it from left to the right to see what side will see the best. I'm going to say to the right side if your in the skidsteer. When I win the lottery this is what I'm going to get.

Depends on how much you win? Powerball I still would burn wood.F*ck the oil companys. I'd probably give away half my winings to some needy people that have some medical bills. I know quite a few people that need money.

Welder all of a sudden stop working today. Its a Hobart 250 wire feed. Plus I ran out of aragon. But the gun would not let any wire come out. So I took the nosel of the end and cut the wire and tried to see if some would come out, nothing. Then I unscrewed the wire tip and from the end of the gun and the tip is stuck on the wire. Also I noticed that there were alot of wire shavings or splitners on the wire it slef. I'm thinking that I have a bad tip. What is everyone using for nosel tip flux? Sure would be nice to own one of these bad boys. sure loved it today with all the cuts we made.

I just realized you intend to just line up on the log and lower the splitter on it. No lifting. Hmmmmmmm, cool idea.
