I have given thought to doing the roof different from body panels. The primer surfacer I use puts a very nice textured surface that could be done with a matte finish topcoat that would mimic a cars soft top perfectly.  Lots of time to consider options.

You going to have a rack of any sort on the roof? If so bed liner makes perfect sense.  Still do panels graphic but roof could be totally different for a lot of reasons all of which make sense.

I was hoping I could just have all my body parts dipped. Roof will be too big tho. Guess I need to look some more. You have any idea if film is even available wider than 4 foot?

Update.

Got a line on a company just north of me in a little town called Valley Center.  I have and ant that lives there. Company called Valley Blue Coatings.  Just talked to the owner and he can handle anything up to eight feet long and four feet wide.  Said he could do the carbon fiber and the snake skin like I want.   jj:

Going to be bad a$$ looking or lame.  Just have to wait until it's all put back to gather. All the parts go in next Wednesday so should have pictures buy next Thursday or Friday.

Why not do it yourself? A guy with your skills should be able to handle it.
