Sunday...GONE!

I had a couple of small jobs to do so I thought that I would dedicate today to those jobs.

Make use of a mandrel that had originally come with the mill. I had no idea what it was supposed to do so I decided to make use of it...

Make up a small flat table to mount the suspension arm jigs. Had to be solid and flat and cheap...

Machine up the spare final drive housing, it was of no use in its rough cast form...

Ill deal with these in three sep posts, firstly the arbor/mandrel.



been sitting in a box for years. I had an old horizontal mill years ago which died a sad but useful death, as it left me with a heap of cutters which coincidentally had the same size shaft as this arbor.



So I made this from 4130





and this





To make this..









No freakin idea what im gonna do with it but at least no I CAN do something with it... ;D

Now that you have it I'm sure it's gonna get used.
I use the slitting saws alot.

Ton's of stuff can be done on a good knee mill with a side milling cutter.  Keyway's in bar stock splines etc etc.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

Spec Im glad you had the balls to say somthing. I sure as hell was not going to be the first. Oh I think I feel a smite comming on  8) ;D
