Well I've pickup some more power ;D ;D , but it appears that a zx12 didn't have an airbox. Atleast not a traditional one. It was made by the frame and the gas tank and so the search begins. I've talked to a few places, as they ran these motors in sprint cars unitil outlawed, and found a couple places. Looks like one from Rosson Racing, was the ticket. Just seeing if anyone else might know of another source.

$260.00!!!!!! Good Gawd, man!!!! Rough sketch the thing up with dimensions ,I'll CAD it for you. Take the CAD file to the nearest waterjetter. Hell of a lot less money. It's only 2 flat plates and 6 studs.

Dont forget the wing nuts. rofl And it does include the filter.
They are even spaced 46mm throttle bodies, easy. Problem is how to attach, as the velocity stacks dont bolt to the throttle body. Theyd ropped thru frame and just a slip fit into bodies. Stacks only bolted to frame. I believe I could pickup some solid mount points, as I'm sure thats how theirs mounts to. I might make it myself too.
I might take you up on that Fabr, Thanks!

I'm just about to get some 1/8" 304 stainless laser cut. Get me a DXF and I can get it cut.
-
Can you just drill and tap the throttle bodies for a set screw to hold the stack in place?
-
Many other lengths and screw sizes available: http://www.mcmaster.com/#cadinlnord/91780a242/=fzm8bn

No CAD except cardboard. I'll no more tomm, rest of parts were delivered today to be able to start it. Once I see it run I'll turn loose on ordering more parts. Just a little pre-shopping.
That and hopfully one of these guy I've talked to about old buggy will show up with $100's.

I can whip up the CAD file too. You already gave the spacing. What size holes? Get a filter and give me the height and length. You could drill the holes for the bolts after so you can line up with something to bolt to.
Edit, I don't know if you are saying 46mm throttle bodies or that they are 46mm on center. Those are the numbers I need too, hole size and center to center distance.

Here's my CAD drawing. Cant attach to PM's so I'll throw it up here.
K & N filter size & spec http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=E-2910
But this plate will allow me to weld a 1/2" lip around and filter drop in. Thought............??

just ship him the base of the part that bolts to you throttle bodies and have the filter you want dropped shipped to him and then it would be easy for livewire to cad it.
-
I don't think you need the lip.

I don't think you need the lip.
I agree. Just place the long studs (maybe add a few) to trap the filter.

That's a good idea.
