Title: broken shock eyelet
Post by: Voodoochikin04 on November 16, 2008, 10:10:41 PM
on my buddies 79 suzuki gs1000, his rear shocks are just those factory chrome shocks. well the bottom eyelet is made of a rolled piece of flat stock and was welded to the shock body. well it snapped off. can this just be welded back.. or is it junk now?

Ya ,
Don't weld on the res. end...It could easily start you on fire, but will definately finish off the shock...
