455,

there's not much to cut out apart from lights, horn and associated switchgear.  You may replace the sidestand cutout with a diode but unless you enjoy wiring I'd leave the fusebox intact.

Then there's the ignition switch swap where you need an inline resistor.

If you want to bin your tipover sensor you can replace it with a resistor as well.

Depending on the region your bike was programmed for, (discernable by the part number on the ECU) you may have air injection wiring you can flick as well as the PAIR wiring.

By all means, keep the yosh plug, it may come in very handy for you.

And Yoshi is 100% correct regarding the instrument cluster.

All the remaining wiring is required by the ECU.  Just thank your lucky stars you haven't got a Gen II Hayabusa to rewire!

What's worse with them?

46 pins on the SH7052 vs 61 pins on the M32R ECU - much more wiring.  That I'm going through at the moment.

Have you got a source/supplier for orange wires with red, green or yellow trace?

Just the orange + trace wires. Apart from scavenging off late model suzuki car wrecks, I can't find a supplier, unless I want to order enough to rewire a small town.

Yoshi, seriously, where do you get them?

at the solid color wire with tracer store, duh!...........

I have a local supplier, I can get pretty much any amount in the loom with any gauge, can even order customer ones with thicker and thinner gauge in the same loom.  The one in the pic is the main one I use to extend all my wires forward, it holds (16) 16 gauge wires and I always have some I don't use.  It's SHO cord I believe, so it is extremely flexibly with the oil proof coating, even with 16 wires.  I also use some of the 4 and 6 wire lines for lights and such.......

I also get my positive and negative power wire there, which is a really thin, super fine strand 4 gauge weld wire cord with the same SHO type cord, the small strands make it really flexible......

Broken Arrow Electric supply In., they are a mile up the street from me....

phone number is 918-258-3581, maybe you can find their source, or order it through them.  If you drop my name and tell em what state your in, they may give you their main source, or a closer place to you, otherwise i'm sure you can order it through them and they will ship it out, they are a big facility...

Probably because he posted, then started editing in more info and pictures.  You pulled it up right after the initial post.

I always try to have the crap ready so I can post then edit in the picture links before someone clicks on it to read and wonders where the pics are.

Try:

http://www.mouser.com/ (http://www.mouser.com/)

http://www.digikey.com/ (http://www.digikey.com/)

http://www.newark.com/ (http://www.newark.com/)

Belden showed white/orange with a code of 20.

But I am guessing it would be predominately white.

Nope,

can't find orange with trace.

Back to dodging falling cars at the wreckers.
