Don't want to be critical here but.
I am seeing way to much leverage here (see red Box). First big hit and this attaching point will fold or break.  Mite need a gusset on the front and one on the back as well.  Something for rearword and up and down force.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

Dont think the mount will be any problem, least til the motor gets mounted. ;D    I agree with Fast.

Your on this build non stop, your either not working or not sleeping.  What kinda travel you getting in front, cause the rear of that Bug will have never traveled so far.
You can keep your CHANGE, I'd like to keep my DOLLAR.

If all that weld were to fail having 3 bolts on there won't do a thing. Do a plug weld and grind it smooth if the holes bother you.

Er, yeah, good point. I should have said start to crack, not fail. In the application of a force severe enough to cause catastrophic failure of all that weld the bolts wouldn't do squat... :u

Sorry to hear bout the med problem, I will be doin it as soon as I have the money, I have a guy trading me a newly built banshee for a big block I have sitting around the is more than the average buy wants for his hot rod so I kind of have to sell it to him, I tried Cragslist with no success. But as soon as I have the bike I will sell it to finish the front, but I will be doing a +8" wider Link pin style beam and +4" arms with 10-12" coilovers and likely stretched like around 6-8" (keep in mind the +4 arms move it back nearly 4" to start with). It will be real nice when I get around to it, should give me nearly the same travel as the rear if I do it right, I have a friend that has 16" with a 10" shock and cheap stuff so it is do-able..

Thanks! Its wayy more up my alley than a buggy just because I am familiar with "cars" I am really not used to creating a vehicle from scratch, its a lot harder than I thought, and far more expensive, believe it or not, when I am done done done with this front end and all, I still won't have more than 7K in the whole vehicle! That's less than some QUADS!!

Seriously, my freinds car has nothing more than 3X3 arms, and a tweeds front end with coilovers all around and 16 front 13 rear travel, and the thing will kill it in 3rd and 4th gear through 3-4' whoops, and his is heavy, he really beefed it up for the desert...

OK, I got the holes punched through the fender wells , need to open em up a bit still but I started to mock up the shock mount and I have a problem, why does the tab hit the shock body here, I don't see why they made the dam thing so close? Anybody got ideas how to fix this? Can I use bigger shims or something? These are what they came with, It seems like if the shock twists or anything it will hit it real bad??? What gives??

The holes are too deep in the tabs?
unless those tabs are for the other end of the shock?
Maybe grind some of the tab off, so it clears the shock

Break out the grinder, clearance the tab just enough for clearance, forget about it. Next thing to do?
