the wheel base is 75"  the width across the tyres ( tires ? ) 68"  and the overall length is 104"

getting down to quad size bit by bit, next step is to make up some new engine mounts and then get it running as it is and weed out the wire l dont need

I really like this project.

but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."

l step forward and 2 steps back comes to mind, l mounted the engine and box up onto its final engine mountings today  and guess what, the brake master cylinder just rubs the altenator  ::)
so l have had to remove the tube that the pedal box hangs from and make a new on that swings back 2" ho hum, good job l hadent finished welded it in,

been toying with the idea of mounting the rad behind the engine, the gearbox is quite low and gives a good "view" of the rad from the front, although l might yet mount it up front conventionaly but think it will fill up with mud and be very vunrable there

some of the stuff is just tempoary like the rack mount, pedal box suport etc

the exhaust exits on the front of the motor, right?  I don't know if you would get enough airflow to keep it from overheating with it mounted there.  I wouldn't mount it up front either, maybe going to have to be a rear mount??

l still havent made any decisions on where the rad is going to live, what l have made is the transmission tunnel, well 2 of them first was tall and narrow

after l had made that one l decided to widen it up a little in case l did want to fit the rad at the front behind the engine, that way the fans can suck through the rad and the hot air can be expelled down the transmission tunnel

Put up a pic of your radius bender please.

hi masterfabr,  sorry no radius bender, all the bits of tube l am using are left overs and offcuts from a job l had in where l sent out a load of tube to these people for forming
http://www.barnshaws.com/tube_bending.php
have a look at some of the pics of the stuff the roll  :o
in fact l have just about run out of offcuts so l am going to buy in some rolled tube on different radiuses such as 3m,4m,5m and 6m, its just so useful to have around

Islander
havent really worked out the shape in detail, have a rough idea, might have a go at mocking it up with plastic tube
