Axles 4130 or 300m????
« on: June 01, 2009, 07:34:13 AM »
I'm starting to shop for axles for the Cuda and I've discovered two significantly different levels of pricing.  Seems there's 4130 axles and 300m axles out there.  The 300m axles are quite a bit more expensive than the 4130 axles.  What do most people run?  Don't get me wrong I'll pop for the 300m axles if I truly need them but I'd rather not waste the money on them if the 4130 axles will get the job done without issue.  Soooo  Everyone has an opinion here so let's hear'em  ;D !

The application for those of you that aren't familiar with what I'm building is a Hayabusa powered Barracuda.

4130 will be fine.

the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."

I have a pair of 28" 4130s. I ordered an extra pair when I got Engineer's.

Want to sell that extra pair of 28"?

Lance use the 4130 unless you plan to run a turbo. I just picked up a set of 300M on Ebay that suit the PIRCV with a new groove cut into them. I got a steal at $200 for them. I get the 4130 for $175 for the pair.

I have 4130 in my Cuda now and have no problems.
