Does leaving from your residence require a street legal/registered/well muffled vehicle?  I have 2 small mufflers but it is a bit loud still.

Depends on where you live.
In Kaliforniastan, yes, it needed all that crap and maybe more.
Kansas, hang a triangle on the back and it's farm equipment......

Nobody checks on them out here. Shirley's old buggy does not have plates and I drive it some just to ride it.
If you want to put it on a trailer and go out farther there are more places to ride.

I'd like to google earth the areas. Can you give me some kind of info on the areas to guide me to where you are talking about? Are the areas named or landmarks or just open territory?

Find foothills and go straight south to the bombing range. It goes east along the Mexico border. I know there are roses or trails that you can take clear to Ajo Arizona. My friends did it with keeps but sty over night in them.

Thanks guys. Yup,should be a rocket and sounds rather nasty for sure. I need to get some miles on it to let the self tuning get it's act together . It takes a bit for it to learn ,as expected, and gets better all the time. Probably have maybe an hour on it starting and idling and now I just hit the key and it starts right up just like a new car. FWIW,it runs pretty bad ass already and I'm expecting much more as it tunes itself over the next few days and weeks. It's been a long 10 years since I sat with several hundred HP just inches behind me. I'm just all  giggity giggity giggity rofl rofl

Congrats fabr, it looks Beastly!  Is that engine oil or tranny cooler in the roof?  Don't wrap the engine as tight as the busa.  :) hopefully we'll have some nice weather for you to put some miles on it.

That is the A/C condenser. Tranny coolers are behind the seats. Not running an oil cooler at this time.

Rear arm spread is approx 15" .I'll check that later today.  LOL! ,yup with the rocks and stuff I hit made the deflectors make for a bit of shock/bypass protection. Original plan was for the shocks to lay over a bit more and would have made for less protrusion below the arm. That will be changed out at tear down time. 2" shorter shocks and bypasses are in the plans and will allow much less "hang down"below the arm.
