^^^^^Ya maybe that or a buildup of spit out "slag" in the ID of the cup disrupting gas flow ,had that before also.

I'll check them things out in the morning.   I use red and green on steel and never had a problem.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

I have had it where no gas coming out and caused this problem. You may need to buy a new tip for your gun.

Did you check the postflow?

Postflow and afterflow are set where they have always been set at 4 on post and 6 on after. Welding .120 wall to a bung with 190 Amp's. Using 25 cubic inch's of Argon.

Turn the flow down. You may be introducing  atmospheric air into the shielding gas stream.

I'll try that.  My new bungs will be in today and I'll turn down the flow some and see if it helps.

I also got to thoinkin
Check your gas lines, and listen to the cup sorry...Check the gas flow with a lighter or a match, when you step down on the peddle, You might have a leak in the hose...between the tank/regulator/machine cylenoid, gun cable, and the cup...also I'd pull all the fittings that have been recently apart and check for foreign matter/cross threading/not snug...one little hunk of greasey shit will fook you up  8)

OK changed out the tungsten to a new red 2 percent put on a new cup number seven was using a three. Checked all the gas and water lines all good to go there. Turned the Argon down to 15 cfh and blow'ed the the dust out of the machine.  Looks better.  Turned the before flow up two notches and put the cleaning cycle on full auto. No pitting and pucking the weld like before.  Just need a pint of bourbon and maybe my hand won't shake so much.  rofl rofl

Did not use any filler wire on this one to see how it would do.  Nice penetration and no humped up'd bead.
