Well alli for alli ms for ms, we don't, or I should say I haven't seen differing grades for alli I don't know about ss but! I haven't done much stainless work. Also you want to turn ya pulse frequence down and ya pulse duty, arc force just into the white marker on the second one at the back of the dial. Ya Know what I mean? Ifn ya want I can take a pic of where I have my settings to weld a bit of 1.6 alli. Sorry Bud I've probably confused the crap outta ya,so yeah I'll take a pic and post it! here ya go bud hope it helps.
Ummmm,   there are several different fillers for aluminum. You should use a similar filler to the base material.  For most steel work -ER70S is good for most all mild or cromo uses.

You NEED an amp controller for good aluminum welds.

We don't get a choice here in OZ at least not that I've seen, you buy packets of filler rods, I suppose you could buy the right grade, but then again it would help to know what grade you are welding!!

You can buy the correct filler anywhere.

Yes,the high freq generates a "pilot" arc for the torch so you can initiate an arc without touching the aluminum with the tungsten. I use high freq for aluminum and steel both.It CAN be done otherwise but...................................
I don't use it.

Should be two settings on hi freq.  One is constant for Ali and one start for steel.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

Some machines have it without a choice between full time and start only. All modern TIG machines have high freq tho as far as I know.

I don't think so but I don't have direct knowledge of your machine. Did you get an owners manual with it?
