I'm inclined to agree with bug but want to see the results.i could be wrong. I'm also wondering why the concern with friction? Hell I bend manually 1.5x .120 4130 with my PT.

Any improvement I will take. I hope to eliminate the having to lube a backing block. I WILL NOT bend without lube on the backing blocks I do have. But using clean tube would not piss me off.

Plus even though this is gonna be hydraulic the less force the less wear on everything.

An electrician friend has a bender for EMT. The backing block is cut out round, but is just flat on the back, no attachments. There is a roller behind it that the block moves on. If bending more than 90 degrees, the block has to be moved back. A longer backing block would prevent that
