« on: January 15, 2012, 01:57:13 AM »
my name is rashid, I'm from Oman and I'm building my piranha buggy powerd by yamaha R1's engine

i'll go directly through the subject now, actually i need your suggestion in choosing the right rear and front shocks for my buggy which will perform perfectly

I was planning to order fox 2.5 coil over with a reservoir 12inch travel and 33.5 inch exit length for the rear
for the front: fox 2.0 coil over with a reservoir 19.35 inch exit length
i didnt know which coils (upper and lower)to order? which rate?

anyone can help please?

I would think the 2.5" coilover in the rear would be overkill for a Pirannah.  But unless someone has built exactly the same as you coils are gonna be different.  Need to know corner weight, motion ratio, shock angle to get a good close answer.  Even then I bet you'll have to swap some around to get it right.  I would think the Edge guys could get you close, again aslong as you stay to plans.
You can keep your CHANGE, I'd like to keep my DOLLAR.

A 2.5 is way to much. Something like a 8" coilover with reservoirs on the front and 10" to 12" on the rear depending on travel, coilover and reservoirs.

air shock would be my choice of kind of shock for this project. 2.0 size.

I don't know about a Piranha but these work great on Barracuda's................  I'm sure Doug would know.
