Aluminum Belly Pan

What's your best source for Aluminum sheet for a belly pan I think I want to use 1/8" 6061. Needs to be at least 54" wide sheet. The Yard Store and Boeing Surplus sucked today and was a strikeout. Looking for a good source in mid America somewhere.

New or used?

        Dam Master You just went by my place on your way to the Yard Store. Should have gave me a ring a ding and I would have met you in town for a Burger. Was just setting on my ass all day anyways. You didn't miss my place but buy about eight miles. Just west of The Mulvane Exit.

New or used .Just not corroded like the Yard Store stuff. They had 1 piece corroded to hell for 1.75 a pound . Same price as Boeing has but they keep theirs indoors and corrosion free. Only problem was that they only had 48" wide stock. :'(   Damn Fast, I had no idea you were so close! I sure as hell would have gave you a call if I had known.

The last plate I bought from special metals / metals USA was only a fraction higher than The Yard, and considering condition was a much better deal than the yard.  I would have to look up the name and number to be sure.  The price of Alum has plumeted, and The Yard hasn't got the memo.

I just bought a 5X8 5002 .125 from Boyd metals  for $159.00 shipping included and a sheet of 4X8 .125 3003 for $197.00 shipping included. Don't know if that's good or bad but I was tired of looking. They will be here tomorrow.

Smooth or diamond tread?   Best I could find local was like $400 for .125 tread.  That was 1-1 1/2 yrs ago.   Sounds like a good find.

I would guess that is with out papers.  I paid $800.00 for a 5X9X.100 7075 t351 sheet with papers last year.  Only used half of it on the job.  used the last half on my flooring and skid pan.  I guess I can  say I have papered pans.  ;D ;D

Actually I misspoke. It was a 5X10 sheet I think.I asked for 8' but I believe he said all he had was 10', I guess I'll know for sure tomorrow. Aluminum has dropped drastically apparently. Yes it is not certified so far as I know either-no papers.

Spec,fast may NEED papers now!  LMAO Both sheets came to 346 bux. Hell, I was expecting to pay at least 600 bux just for one.  ::) On a square foot basis Shapiro Supply has it for approx 280 bux for a 4X8 .125 5052. I guess I'm getting a damn good deal. Hope I'm not speaking too soon and get bit in the ass tomorrow! :P ???

Just showed up. No freight is due to them having a regular truck coming to town anyway.That's cool. Both sheets are 5'X10' .125 5002  H32 $159.00 and 5X10 .125 3003 H14 $197.00! I'm really happy I waited till now to buy instead of a year ago.
