Misc laser cut parts
« on: May 05, 2011, 02:50:13 PM »
I just had some 5/16 plate laser cut. I thought some of the items I was doing might be of interest to others so I got some extras done.

Plate that matches the bolt pattern of quick change steering hubs. This was done for someone mounting an Odyssey steering yoke in a buggy. I figured other's might use that for their steering. I also have the hubs.

Plate for mounting 5 on 4.5 hub/bearing that fits F-150 CV and EMPI micro stub.
Plate for mounting 5 on 4.5 hub/bearing that is 26 spline, Audi CV used on Drakart Formula Cross, Extreme, Tornado, etc
Plate for mounting 4 on 100 hub/bearing 26 spline
4 on 100 to 4 on 156 wheel adapters. They can be a flat plate because the larger pattern is completely outside the original hub.

108mm rings. I got them for welding to a FWD outer CV to bolt it to a Porsche 930 drive flange or stub axle.

Dual disk clutch intermediate plate for many Ford, Chevy and Dodge manual transmissions.

My next orders will be 3/16, 1/8, more 5/16 and 1/2". Yes really, 1/2" thick laser cut. I can get up to 5/8"

I see you have 4 on 100 to 4 on 156 adapters..  How hard would it be to modify it to make a pair of 4 on 110 to 4 on 156 adapters?  And what would u suggest, 1/2" or 3/8"?  I wanna try my sport ATV rims / tires on the front of my buggy, but I had Doug make my hubs 4 /110 (and didn't think to ask for a dual pattern at the time).

There is a laser in town here that will cut 1 1/4" plate. Pretty interesting how big they keep making shit these days.

that is impressive. At our local steel shop they can cut 1" with plas. It's a clean cut but not as impressive as the lazers accuracy.

Plasma tables around here are over 2". The impressive Shit is the oxy tables... 6"+. But you do loose accuracy. I guess the bigger the parts the bigger the tolerance.

Pretty easily modified, rotate 45 degrees and put in another set of holes. The car hubs I have are about 5/16" steel so this plate should be plenty strong being the same thickness. 1/2" would be way overkill IMO. The 4 on 100 holes are larger because they are for a car hub.

Ahh.. That looks do-able...  How much for a pair?

And the 4/156 holes, are they 7/16? 10mm? 12mm?

Thanks!

$45 for a pair. I looked at the cad file and for some reason, I made the holes 5/16. My intent was to make them tapable for 10mm and 3/8. I wanted to tap them and thread in 10x1.25 bolts which is a standard ATV wheel nut. They would need to be opened up a bit first for that.

The one part was made to mount an Odyssey steering yoke on a quick change hub. I decided it might be a useful part for anyone needing to make a steering wheel adapter, custom steering yoke, etc.

The other parts pictured here, I needed a really deep well socket for torquing down the crank nut on an FL350. I made one in the past, but misplaced it. The 2 plates weld to a piece of tubing.
