Hi Guys got a few more pics, finished referb on the motor, fitted one side panel and finished the fuel tank I will fit it this week. Started cutting the gears for the 90 deg reverse box, they look massive in the pics but will loose a lot of weight in the coming weeks. trying different paint combo's to see what i like, I think i will stick to Blue Black and Silver.

Dave,
Looks like you have been busy, and it's paying off.  So when do you think you will have your F-N-R box in?  I want to see it :o

I LOVE that shifter linkage idea.
"There can be no divided allegiance here.  Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."

Looking good Dave, ya getting there mate! I like the look of the drive line bits ya had made there! Very sturdy look'n! I can't wait to see how you do the FNR box, should be good! 8) You've obviously checked out the fan to see if it's a sucker or blower, in terms of mounting it on the front of the back...

I want it to blow through the radiator then the oil cooler, this should help protect the radiator? I have been busy with the brakes and have finished the hard lines, will post pics soon. Next is the dash and the electrics.

Dave, The car looks good. I have a FNR gearbox that I believe is like yours, only smaller. It looks like what you described. It is a Spicer out of a lawnmower I believe. The 1st picture is the outside of the box. The large sprocket is the input. The small is the output. The shaft with the plates is the shifter. The 2nd picture shows the pinion, the ring gears and the shift collar. The collar is keyed to the output shaft. It engages one ring gear for forward and the other for reverse. The other pictures are different views. Hope yours works as simple as this one. It is used in my kids mini rockcrawler buggy. Tim
