My guess is that ultimatly this is a photo size issue.  Bit of a data bas issue, but mostly photo size. 

Couple of options.  The easiest is to resize the photos. 

Windows XP (Gosh, I hope you are not that far back) has a photo resizer option as I recall.

All the rest require a resize widget.  If you are not familiar with that, let me know.  I can walk you through it.  Essentially it is a small back ground app that will allow you to resize a single or multiple images at the same time.  Just do a Google search and download the widget.  I have to do it every time there is a new machine in the house.  Read reviews, pick a widget and go. 

The other option is third party hosting and then image tag the photos into the post.  I use PhotoBucket.  There are lots of options and they all do the same thing.

I just use Paint to resize/crop/whatever pics to about 40 % original and no issues posting pics from my pics album.

I used to have that issue before I started resizing all with paint. Pics load much ,much faster. Whatever ,enemy/everyone needs to resize them with his/her software of choice.
