His name is Chris He runs a auto repair shop in RexBurg.  Nice guy to know, worked on my truck one year.  Just bought that car form one of our friends in Yuma last winter.

So what is the rebuild plan Dave?  Bigger VW?  Subi?  Whatever, get it done before the spring trip!  Is the case damaged?

 case is fine. So  the plan is to rebuild the VW to a 2275. it was a 2332. take it off race gas. change injectors and fuel system. put it on e85. should run cooler. I had the crank laying around, might as well use it. Then start to build (save) a big pile of money for a sub.
