We stay @ Idaho Dunes RV park. I take a different route than fast as I need to keep steep grades to a minimum an I like nicer roads.  I take I80 till I turn north on 30towards Kemmerer ,continue to I-15N to St.A..

 Here's the general route I take :
   1.   From Rock Springs,Wyo on I-80 go   35.6 mi
   2.   Merge onto US-30 W via EXIT 66 toward Kemmerer/Pocatello (Crossing into Idaho).
 
   183.5 mi
   3.   Merge onto I-15 N toward Inkom/Pocatello.
 
   71.7 mi
   4.   Take the US-20 E exit, EXIT 119, toward Rigby/W Yellowstone.
 
   0.2 mi
   5.   Turn right onto US-20 E.

    If you reach I-15 N you've gone about 0.2 miles too far

 
   37.5 mi
   8.   Take the exit toward St Anthony.

That's the one. I posted the general route I take in the post above. There are several ways to go once leaving  I-80 but the route I take is best for me and all routes except the one thru Jackson,take approx the same travel time.

You do NOT want to go that route unless you like 10% grade for 5 miles up and then down with no let up in the grade either way. It is a longer route as well. I made that mistake the first time out.  Beautiful scenery tho.

that's what i thought but i thought i remembered you taking a diff route up through republican city last time. i plan on leaving on that sat morning but i plan on stopping for a couple of sights along the way. prob put me there sun evening or mon morning. all up in the air as of yet of course since it's a ways off.

Look up Lave Hot Springs,Idaho. About 4 or so hours from St.A . on the route I take. IF there is parking for semi's or rv's somewhere there in town it would be a relaxing stopping point for a night.

End of August,what dates are you hoping for there? I'm good with almost any but 8/24-28 there look good for me.
