Title: Getting a new tube laser "TRUMPF TruLaser Tube 7000 Fiber"
Post by: Grimm Reaper Racing on February 01, 2019, 07:32:58 AM
Well guys, things here at work are getting a little more exciting.  A couple of months ago, we pulled the trigger on a TRUMPF TruLaser Tube 7000 Fiber.  This is TRUMPF's flagship tube laser, and the things this machine is capable of are simply amazing.  This little addition will make building notched tube projects much faster, and more accurate as both sides of the tube are cut in the same operation.  Also, cutting with Nitrogen gets rid of the laser oxide that needs to be removed before welding.

Here is a quick video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yF6_DzuoWeI

I'll keep you guys posted when the 5 semis come in a couple of months to unload it.

We can import .stp or .iges files and watch it do it's thing.

I've got lots of ideas racing through my head... ;D
