Title: New Year, new car-L
Post by: Carlriddle on January 11, 2016, 07:12:19 AM
After 20+ yrs wife and I have gone separate ways.  Life changes, we change, and have grown apart.  Tough investing that much time into something only to see it end.  But we are good, friendly and all is well.  I'm excited to see whats in store!!

So I wanted to do something different with the buggy, and couldn't get an offer close enough to what I need to rebuild so........

I I broke out the software, and the cutoff wheel.  Never like the lean the 3 wide seating caused when I was riding solo.  So going to narrow it up, go back to 2 seats, redo a few thing I wished I'd changed to start with.  Narrowed by 8", and moving the seats in a little further from side rails.  Redo dash and hood to fit new frame.  Should have plenty of time  rofl before trip, right?  Also for Xmas I picked up some STU 8.50 razor backs for the front!! ;D ;D

Glad to see you and she are cordial.  I know some get ugly, but never understood why that had to be.  Looking forward to the rework progress.

Sorry to hear about the breakup, but life does go on.  Sounds like you have accepted it well.  Keeping busy in the shop is great therapy.  And Damnnn, you are doing some major surgery on the buggy, it looks great so far.  But you better stay busy, April is coming right up!  And those new 8.50 fronts will turn hard.

Sorry to here this kind of news Carl.  20+ years is a major investment in a marriage to have it go south. But also happy to here that your still talking.  Buggy's come and Buggy's go, good to see this one is getting the make over.

Sorry for the break up. Try to keep it civil, it makes it a lot easier.

Go get that powerball ticket and post it up. A share of $1.4 billion couldn't hurt.

Progressing along.  I dropped the front of roof a bit but also moved it back a bit to not hurt my vision looking up a dune.  Hopefully.  Few more changes to make.......

New Grandson will be here in April so we are not going to make the 2 week trip to SA this year. I need to get programmers for both of our cars and should really rebuild my motor before I make that trip. 2 trips to LS for me this year. Jen may not make the April trip.
