What are you putting this on. I have 2 buddies that are using this system and have had a real tough time tuning them properly. One even took it to the dyno shop and they struggled,
You'll never finish that buggy
i have heard of a dyno shop that will not tune anything using the mega squirt system and where i know plenty of people that have had nothing but great things to say about it yet few have issues. i am not saying there aren't bad units but for a dyno shop to ban that system because they say they have never seen one that didn't require a lot of extra tuning/re working (don't ask because i don't even know what they meant by that statement and wasn't going to ask) to get it right then i have to wonder about the shop. now even saying that, we all know if there are a 1 or more poor connections in the harness during installation or from the manufacturer then it will just never be right. i hope your buddies figure it out cause that does really suck.
I myself prefer a port injection setup over TBI just because of liking to pressurize stuff, but these systems have been showing awesome progress. Have a buddy that loves his old Mopars swears by the MSD Atomic tbi efi system. He is a 700+hp NA 426 Hemi guy and it was absolutely impressive what it did over a carb as far as drivability goes. As far as I am concerned, all of the engine management systems out there will do exactly what you tell them to do.. So when you discuss wiring, vac and exhaust leaks, and the software to run the system, the one universal rule I have learned with all the ones I messed with... "Garbage In= Garbage out"Oh... And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have this work of art at LS in September.. Thanks Yummi!!! ^^^
