Intercoolers
« on: August 01, 2013, 04:59:14 PM »
Looking at getting a supercharger for my truck. Which is better for cooling and makes the most HP and Torque? Air to water, or air to air intercooler? Does it vary with turbo's compared with superchargers?

Air to water is best but least used.

Run winsheild washer fluid in it, then a leak would be like meth injection.  ;D

They are some formulas that I've been looking at that can give you the charge temp based on cooler size and efficency.  But unless your looking for crazy boost ##'s air/air should be more than enough.
You can keep your CHANGE, I'd like to keep my DOLLAR.

^^^^^Air /air is usually used for that reason.
Water/air is more for extended boost run times where an air/air will be heat soaked at lower air speeds through it. Think street car with big boost and /or constant boost.
