A build for a friend. - Thank you everyone for donating
« Reply #92 on: September 23, 2009, 03:13:22 PM »
My friend set up this blog for donations while I was injured and getting medical attention at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC.
I am so amazed at the response he got and thank everyone that donated.
The buggy is a dream come true and I appreciate everyone's efforts, especially Jeff, who spent so many nights and long hours to get this done to surprise me.
I can now go on rides with my whole family.
We took the Buggy for a first run last weekend and to hear my little girl scream "Go faster Daddy!" just made me soar! It gave me more hope to get better and that things will get better.
Thank you  everyone!
Travis

Welcome home Travis.  Thank you for serving.  And yes you do have a great friend there.  Not to many people will bust butt to do something like Punk did for you.  Stay strong and come down and run with us some time.  Our camp is your camp.  Anytime.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

We are going to Ocotillo wells from the 16th-18th if anybody would like to meet and ride around with Travis. We will be parking on Main street and I will hang a sign so we can be found. This will be a camp with families and children so if you are not going to be respectful you will not be welcome. If anybody is interested pm me and I will give you my phone #
