NIICE! I wish I could afford to get mine setup like that but with 150K miles, I would need a trans and thems COST! Someday I will get er juiced up! I would like to do the 5" exhaust like my brother has on my identical truck, sounds killer! and then the programmer, injectors, intake etc. I really would like to do the single 5" stack out the bed right next to the cab on the Pass side, but I would get shit for it from my friends unless it could lay the smack down, then it would be cool. Really the tranny is the only thing holding me back, the 03's can't hang with much upgrades I have been told and with my miles, I can't afford to take a chance!

Really, It must be because of those 37" (big ass tires) I have only changed out 1 in 108,000 miles and I'm running 295 / 75 R 16 (33 1/2'' tall)

I'll agree with you about the stack out of the bed, if it doesn't roll the coals it just doesn't look right. 8)

The only reason I had the money to do all the upgrades is because I got a smoken ass deal on my truck. I bought it the day after the stock market crashed and the dealers out here where really nervous and dumping there used inventory. :)

Huge tires break stock stuff. Guy here at work has a S-10 on 35s. Killing ball joints, and a-arm bushings. Granted it is a s-10. Tall tires for towing, they are not doing your mileage any good.

Dam T-man you are pumpin the sh!t out of your truck. Your wallet has to be tons lighter after all that.

No power mods for me right now. Just ordered a set  of steps, toolbox, and bed cover. If the devil danced in empty pockets, he'd have a ball in mine!

Still working on the buggy. It takes forever when you only get an hour here and there.

You coming on the 10 or 11 or whenever? Don't go out one Fri Sat and get the motor done!

Hey Guys, I have been meaning to ask somewhere if those 5th wheel tailgate things help mileage at all? I get a MAJOR wind tunnel going on back there, enough to blow coolers completely out of the truck! I am going to take the gate off this weekend to see how much it helps, but I figure it has to do something, every 5th wheel tow rig I see has one!

My brother has the same problem. His old truck had the wind gate. I think he said it helped with stuff blowing but not so much with mileage. Bear in mind it was all his truck at the time wanted to do to pull his camper. So floored is floored. He just bought another air gate for his newer truck. I am sure he will tell me. I would be leery of stuff getting blown straight out the back!

You needed more "stuff" in that cooler. LMAO  I saw a test once where they drove a truck with the gate up and down.  Got better? milage up.  Had something to do with a bubble of air created in bed while up and with it down it had violent rolls of air against the cab.

Doesn't do a thing for the milage.
