I don't know WHATS BEST for everybody...
I don't even know whats best for me anymore...This got a little off topic,
I was just pointing out That I know the guy who sells those plans...And the fact that they have some flaws...Most people tend to modify plans to fit their needs anyway...All of my buggies came out of my head...sometimes drawn on a napkin with lipstick...I built some failures that looked good on paper, but didn't hold up when getting pounded in the woods...THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN THAT LONG WALK OUT OF THE WOODS, BECAUSE YOU BUILT A PEICE OF SHIT...

If you didn't want to buy plans, I'm sure there are some members here who would be more than happy to help you out in designing a cage/suspension combo

pmac,
how much time you got on that buggy?
How do you keep it from rusting out on the trail...I see that it isn't painted yet... That sounded like I was calling you out...I wasn't...But I would be interested in hearing /seeing a build log on it and see it after some serious ride time, how about it theo?

Well SPEC The kids and i have killed all the grass in the yard and wore in some good trails. I have not painted it yet have not had the time. However i'm in the process of switching the engine over to Honda clone engine the wife and kids don't like shifting gears (go figure).I built this buggy last winter didn't take very many pictures during the process.I have less than $1000 in thie project which i am turning over to the kids and starting work on the double a-arm version of the Bandit buggy.I will post pictures when i get time. I don,t understand your last statement refering to Theo?

that will work.  A member on buggynews replaced his gy6 150 with a vtwin honda and used a polaris gear box.  worked well

thanks, I just have to make some time to decide on a frame and get to work on it.  when it starts to get cold maybe I can get something done.

I have way to much r&d on the cn250 engines going on right now.
