I can't remember ever seeing anything other than 30mm in what I've read. I don't know what the 30mm refers to tho - it doesn't seem to correspond to anything obvious when you measure the crank.

Sorry Brendan,I just checked on the email and it was in ref to the AC Clutch.
" I read something last night about a 32mm taper on an Arctic Cat"
I just read earlier on,about some puller bolts, and they had ref's to 1:40 and 1:25 Doo tapers....So the plot thickens.

Well I finally got the motor all back together last week, and went racing at Northam the following Sat arvo.Everything went OK,except still having off the line bogs, and the TRA does'nt fully shift out the belt by 1"-25mm.So still some more performance to come from clutch tunings.
It has adj pin weights in it,current are 20mm-3/4" long.Do I need to go down to 15,10,5mm?(5/8,3/8,1/4") Also has 289 ramps.
Bug what does your setup have? I'm all lost here.
Bug your radiator worked great too, thanks Mate.I also added an adjustable fan temp switch to it,kept the temps down to about 70C,160-165F.
Have some race vids, and HellCam to follow for ya's...IF'n ya Good!

Man oh man, Baz! That was a tight pass on the yellow car! When you guys came over the hill into that little kink leading to the front straight, I'm like, " Does he see him?! It's going to be close! YES, HE MADE IT!" When your front wheel goes over the bump at the edge of the track, I thought you might get bounced out into him, but no problems.
And you did quite well against the Cudas in your next heat. It's hard to keep up with 170 hp when you have 100. Thanks for the videos!

Baz, you do realize the engine does not have enough power to shift the cvt to its max correct, it is not like the pilot, the gearing is to high in these cars, full shift out would put you at about the 140 mph mark.. Anyhow glad to hear it runs...

After listening to the vid, does not sound like the rpms are peaking... I am not positive on the drive clutch, I was gonna take it apart and remove a tad bit of weight...

Actually I did some gear charts, if i did it right a 22" tire with 4.75:1 trans at 8500 rpm will top at 117, still about 30 mph faster than what i anticipate the engine could pull...

7:1 with a 24" tire would hit 87
6:1 with 20 would do 85 IMO the drak with 24" tires and 7:1 would be ideal...
