The way it snapped made me wonder if it was a ratchet strap more then a tow rope. I have been considering a Yankees rope to keep in the rail.  Having said that, what, fabr, doesn't your rail weigh 3200 ish lbs?  ;D

General g, nice pics and video. I hope to get back down there sooner then later. Allan was 2 to 3 hrs behind us returning home. He said he didn't notice any real wind. I find that amazing cause I fought it all the way to the Nebraska state line! Ill have to replace the 18 year old cooler that cimmited suicide too  :m

3080 with full load of fuel and me in it.  A person needs to have an actual snatch strap/rope made for jerking a car out. Tow straps are not really meant for that. Too little stretch to build energy.

Yup! Be sure to get one sized for your car. I would need a 3/4". Back in my mud days we used similar all the time. They work amazingly well and are much less abusive to your car.  I DO have stories of stupid shit from back then. :m
