I still plan on going, but I just have a few hurdles.  Putting a new engine together now (or the clean up stage really).  New dual BB turbo, oh yea baby.     So that one will be sorted.  I'll make it   

Same boat here, except for the new motor.. and turbo.. But I got a new header!
Beat the shit out of it by the Platte yesterday then did a re-torque on the hot stuff, need to make a couple new exhaust mounts and should be dialed.

I made reservations at Egin lake, Idaho dunes was full.  I have B18 for 4 nights then B20 for 3 nights.  Couldn't get the same spot straight thru

The weekend of August 3 is the Sand Showdown sponsored by Idaho Dunes RV.   It's a buggy driven event where they hillshoot devils dune.  Hopefully the crowd will be gone the week we are there.

My first trip in 2020 to St. Anthony's we purchased an OHV sticker online, received it just in time for the trip. Never once did anyone check for this sticker...  Didn't remember to purchase one last year in 2023, never had anyone ask me about it on or off the dunes. 

 Is everyone planning to buy a sticker?

WTH, I see it is only 12 bux a year. I bought a 2 year sticker for 22.50. I don't mind that at all. Beats the hell out of the 10 bux a day @ LS.  I do see why I never bought one before though. It has been 4 years since last trip there and the sticker has only been "required" since 1/1/2020.

Ya aside from the fuel costs driving to St. A, it's cheaper, crazy.

Been 5 years , maybe, since I was there last.  There was no utv invasion back then lol.  I remember Glenn said the rule book said we needed the permits and he also said they went out of their way trying buy them. They gave up and ran with out. We never bought them for either 1 week trip. Now, the one trip, the sheriff sat and chatted by the lake. He was there 30 mins and never once asked or mentioned them.  Douggy invited back to camp. Not sure why, but the sheriff did stop by and said hi. Nice guy, but still don't know why douggy invited him back to camp.
