Title: Knolls Utah
Post by: fabr on April 03, 2020, 11:36:57 AM
I'm really looking for some different riding experiences. To me,this looks interesting and is in the area of open riding areas of Nevada sort of close by also. I know most of you will turn your nose up at the lack of tall dunes but in all honesty,I'mnot concerned with tall dunes in the first place.

That looks like a damn fine place to go do it all! Sand to dessert trails to climbing mountain rock trails, my kind of playground. I would definitely check it out, something totally different I have never heard of. Thanks for sharing

"The mud flats here comprise the biggest areas. You can literally ride at full speed for hours and not cover them all. It is a fun area to race and go really fast and is a good place to train new riders as well. There are some cool hidden gems that can be found in different areas of the flats. Its up to you to find them. The ones I have found are Wood Cove, Penny Post, and Jeep Cove."

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!
I wanna go now please.

I'm sorting thru all these places in Nevada. Take some time and see what interests you.   I see several possibly great trips.

Fabr,
What would you take to ride? Buggy or side x side.

The Knolls look like a lot of fun for the big car/our buggies and I see several places/areas in eastern Nevada that would be fun with buggies or sxs's. I'll post up a few later.

you have officially peaked my interest!

looks like the 4x4 sxs's are well suited for that place but.....i have AT tires for my rail  ;D looks like a good time to me! i really like that it is just off the I80 too! easy to get to and easy to leave. jump on I80 and set the cruise at 80 lol

Many of the places in Nevada are good for sxs,buggies,4x4. Honestly,we need to plan something like this for next spring. I'm looking at a looping tour of maybe 3-5 different areas. Some of the riding areas in Nev look like they would be good for a lot of fun. Literally hundreds of miles of trails and beautiful scenery that our buggies would be just fine running.

BTW,I'm hitting LS tomorrow..................Then 2 days of beautiful weather terrorizing my countryside. The Sheriffs are NOT stopping anybody for anything other than felony traffic shit so long as this virus is with us.

Fab when were you planing this trip? I have not put it up on DTS yet. there is a group of us looking at go to Saint Anthony Aug 3rd - Aug. 9th. i know i have told DS and Doug about it.  maybe we could change up the dates some and go do some Utah riding then. I would have no problem Just taking two weeks off to go ride and see some new dunes. could even try to hit killpecker in Wyoming. just a thought. Glad to hear the car is working out.

I was looking at next spring being earliest for St.A. This fall will be too soon for me to have a big cubic inch lower end ready for the SB2.2 top end. I might be interested in a Killpecker and Knolls trip though this fall with the sxs's.
