why is it that the header needs a defenition of what the site is. if you got to the site, its probably because you know what its all about thus why you came.. IMO.

heres a cool one..

For this one you could put the words under it of Desrt, Trail, + sand.

Its true what you said that they are already here. So its definition might not need to be so clear.

The only reason I mentioned that is I was thinking that the sites banner should also look like a sticker or decal that can be pasted on buggies and such. One thats properly layed out with easy to see and read name will more likely be remembered. Thus lead more here. Thats what I was thinking anyways.

Some of the ones I have seen so far look pretty cool. But some of them its hard to tell if you just need DTS or if you would need to type deserttrailsand into the url. Just saying if you wanted to be clear.

the side by sides have not been updated in a while (bugpac)..lol..  but the 3 top guys get to vote, and if they come to a stalemate then we get to vote.. i have entered about 5000 entries so far..  i think there is a distinct difference from a site header and a decal, and i have made that opinion perfectly clear with my header and decal designs...

its a brushed metal background, with slag type looking text and a nice laser cut..  this would make an excellent simple site header..  worry about decals and stuff later.

I really like that concept VC, but I would suggest doing it for real with real stainless and a welder and say a plasma cutter - then photograph it.
I suggest being real will have a better impact (it IS a fab site, not a CAD site right?) than a render

Yummi's first two are the most communicative, which is what a logo is all about. Props!
With the later renditions, I feel Yummi is suffering from that artistic "Step away from the canvas!" thing
