Some progress on the car. I hate wiring sooo much. I would rather weld for 8 hours than wire for one. Should be running in the next couple days. Just need to finish up a little wiring and my coolant lines. I will do all my sheetmetal after my test run.

Sweet wiring job. You ain't got any wires.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

i'm interested in some info on the subi motor.   How much was the motor, and did you just buy it from the salvage yard or did you have someone go through it?  What's the weight of the motor and how much hp does it have?  Any other info you can think of would be great.....

I got mine out of someone elses sand car for $2k with a computer and harness. I got a free header, shortened oil pan, and adapter plate. I made my own air inlet, modified my header. My motor was a "jdm" motor. I see these for sale for under a grand all the time on craigslist and ebay. most of them have the twin turbo setup that just needs to be modified to a single.
My motor is a 2.0 with a ball bearing water cooled turbo. It is dyno tuned to make 262 rear wheel hp and 260 ft. lbs @ 17 pounds of boost on race fuel. Any questions on where to get stuff or making it let me know. Also Steve johnson from s&s sandcars is real close to me and knows a ton about the subie motors.
As far a motor weights i found this on the funco website, not shure if the 2.0 is much lighter, I think so cause I picked mine up with my dad very easily...........

Thanks for the info.  I am now offering the ecotec in my chassis, am 99.99 percent sure i'll offer the subi as well, just hoping I can find a place to get C.A.R.B. compliant ones to offer as well.  I heard they are a bitchen little motor......
