Ask away Engineer.

Nothing like having to crawl over stuff to work on something. I have a condo with no garage so I had to do my build in my dads garage and hes a bit of a packrat.

Your frame design looks really good!  Are you building from plans?  Whose?

I like the front tires, what size are they, and how tall?  I don't believe the implement tires call out a height with the size.  How wide are the front rims?

The steering rack looks tough.  What brand is it?

I like the solid reservoirs on the shocks.  Do the heims in the shocks allow them to rotate much? Like on the rear, what limits the side to side motion of the reservoir.  (rotation of the shock)  Or do they just stay put?

What tire size do you plan to run on the rear?

What is the track width?

Thanks!

-I designed the frame myself.
-The front tires are implement 9.50s, they are 30" tall and the rims are 7" billet  5  stars
-The reservoirs are called piggyback reservoirs. They are a solid mount that is part of the shock cap. The reservoirs move with the shock. If the shock moves side to side so do the reservoirs. But they do not move that much.
-For my rear tires I am running 33" blasters for the sand and 33 x 10.50 bfg at in the dirt
-My track width is 92" front and rear with paddles in the rear and my wheelbase is 113"

I was going to buy a car but only have so much room in my toyhauler and can not afford to get another toyhauler, so I decided to build one myself. This is definitely not my first build, just my best (imo). And if you cant tell by the pics it is a 3 seater car with 3 buckets.

I can tell I am going to like this build.

I have only seen one other three seat car; it was set up like an F1 McClaren - driver center.  Why a three seat?  Was there a space consideration - width?  (BTY - I felt your pain on the hauler deal and to load mine it is backwards with trunk / wing into kitchen and not much room to spare anywhere.)

What is the target completion date?

First 2.0l?  Turbo?

I see the throttle body is pointed toward the front, will you be keeping it that way?  I have come to realize mine is 180 from most applications - if you decide to turn it 180* and want detailed pictures for any ideas on the resulting plumbing issues / rad mount location, etc let me know.

IThe canter driver car is the buckshot X3. My car is going to fit the same way as yours, I have seen a pic of you car in the hauler before. I had to make my engine cage as narrow as I could so it will clear the stove by 2". Its guna be tighter than a dolphins butthole. My goal is to be done sometime in feb. I will run it for the rest of the season, then tear it apart for paint and powdercoating. This is my first subaru and my first turbo gas motor. I think I am going to run the J tube and retain the intake the same way. If I flip it it is more brackets to get and it puts the intake right next to the turbo. I think that will give it a little hotter intake air, but I could be wrong. Im shure I will be asking you tons of questions Yummi when I get closer to finishing the motor. How much power are you getting out of you motor

Power - don't know for certain.  My guess is 220 or so.  I want to have some dyno time, but that will be in the summer, so for now, the number I keep hearing from the 2.0 is 220.

I put up a picture showing how my intake rad / intercooler is mounted.  Sees like most folks run the backwards (to me) intake, and no intercooler.  Then, the intercooler ends up sitting on top of the motor?  (Memeory might be fuzzy)  I went looking for some pictures and it looks like the ones i can find show my set up with an intercooler, and backwards w/ out intercooler (See attached)  Might depend of if you will be using intercooler or not?  I am sure there is a way to plumb it however you figure is best for you.
