Uhhhhhhh, you have something called a winch........................try it,you will like it.

The first time I loaded it, I wanted to see if I could w/o the winch. Spund the paddles on the ramp gate twice, slipped the clutch a lot but got it in. The return trip, locked the trans up , pulled axles and thought ......no problem, thats why I optioned in a 3500 lb winch  ;)   so while witching it up the gate, the winch went into thermal over load 3/4 of the way in. Luckily Allan a a couple others were there to help push it in.

I reached into feel the winch, wondering what happened and grabbed one of the main batt cable lugs on the winch. Burned my finger it was so hot. They had for to tighten the cable to the winch lugs and they were arcing. 30 mins later it cooled down and worked again but sounded bad. I replaced it with a 4500 lb winch with a better lower amp draw motor. Ya know, since they only used 8g wire to run 12' per cable with an 80 amp draw! That when I noticed they used 1/4" lag screws to mount the winch. I made steel plates to back the winch under the floor as well as to bolt the winch too. Was only able to catch the frame on the front ends of the plates but thats far better then lag screws into 3/4" plywood!  Now I have a winch to winch it in. Dune sport is a such a quality custom toyhauler manufacturer. Customer satisfaction is job one there!  kick

I have my doubts that the trans locking up had anything to do with the evidence of slipping. IMO,it was slipping before that . Most likely durin g engagement. Do you rest your foot momentarily on the pedal at times such as anticipating the next shift?

Going to say no on that one.

Loading it on the trailer for that last trip.....slipped the ever living $hit out of it to get it up the launch pad this my ramp gate !  ;D

Does that count  rofl LMAO

All cleaned up now.

We have 12 stations that sell it locally and several refineries in this state. My favorite refinery is the revanna plant. When ethanol demand is down they switch over to corn syrup........you can smell it in their fuel! No i don't condone sniffing fuel but when it smells that good  ya know LMAO

3 or 4 stations locally are pretty consistent at e81 to e85 in the warmer months. With my flex sensor I can watch the blend % on my dash. Now, one has to be careful because water in the fuel, more then likely, will present itself as ethanol on the flex sensor gauge. My ecu adjusts for the different blends or has so far. Right now the last place I saw e85 was $2.18 gal.

The anhydrous edition would be a great way to go but for myself, simpler to get it for each trip.  If I remember correctly , at 30 psi boost I can go as low as e55 and still maintain a high enough octane rating.

Glad that I mentioned K42  and they were able to get them to you, can't beat delivery to your door!  It's not about what parts or material items we have, it's ALWAYS about the people and helping everyone out.  kick

Now you'll need some front 12.50x17Sand Master fronts to match.....
If you decide to get some fronts sometime lmk as I would like to get some new ones also, maybe order 4 together for combined shipping.
Well said.

I'll see how the 10.75-17 fronts do for now. I might go to the 12.50's , time will tell.

To make mixing easier I drain 1/2 drum into another drum. Add 4 +/- gallons 87 to each and it will come in right at 85%. To thoroughly mix I turn drum on it's side ,put in tractor bucket and roll the bucket back and forth for a minute or 2. Easy peasy. I use 87 to aid in cool weather starts. No need to use higher octane for blending.

Several of us run corn. I have been using it for a few years now. I run a FAST sportsman throttlebody efi with a Walbro 535LPH pump. Zero issues. Massive pumps aren't needed(I have 580 at the wheel).. I have 2 of them in the tank. I only use one with the other as a redundant backup-just in case.

So far I have refused to use any pump available ethanol. Just don't trust it not to be water soaked. I buy drums from Glacial Plains in MN. Shipping ,new drums and the e98 ends up costing me approx $4.75 a gallon +/-. It is anhydrous e98 meaning it is as water free as can be had. I then blend it down to e85. I don't mind paying the extra for peace of mind.

The JumpStarts over in your area have some really attractive fuel prices. I always fill up when on I35 @ South Haven exit. $3/gal for 93 premium. That's about a buck cheaper than most places.

I think I mentioned it before but we will be down Memorial weekend. Brian, are you going MemDay weekend?

Finally the Jackson car is burning corn!  To make the switch I had to replace fuel lines to PTFE, new MagnaFuel 750 fuel pump and new 150lb /hr Bosch Injectors.  All in around $2k in parts.  A gear head and good friend Brian setup/helped on the initial tune.

One weekend trip to the dunes will pay for the upgrades with e85 @ $2.77/gal vs VP110 @ $12.50/gal or even Avgas 100LL @ $5.39/gal I had been using. Also Found out the Wichita jumpstart station on 21st street  has e98 $2.99/gal.  Thinking I will fill up a couple of 54 barrels with e98 mixing it for a true e85.  Who all else is running corn fuel?

Need to get a quick day trip in to LS to finalize the tune before loading all my junk up to for St. Anthony's end of June.    Anyone up for a day trip to LS in the next few weeks weather permitting?
