I like it.  As an added bonus it looks more like an ugly YXZ than an uglier by far RZR/CanAm/whatever.  :m  Still has a CVT rubber band though. I'd like to see it thrashed hard in the sand and dunes for about an hour straight.

i agree, i would like to see some abuse as well. i am not considering one but out of all the brands that model has some aspects that interest myself. an actual roll cage for starters! the fact that the made the rear trailing arms interchangeable as well as the front a arms. i believe i read they made the wheel bearing carriers to accept one wheel bearing for all 4 corners. a lot of design work that sets it above the rest.......if it keeps to the advertising as well as holds up. very promising imo and yes, still a rubber band but that seems to be the easiest way to get the smaller displacement motors in heavier chassis to perform better?? maybe it's the cheapest way??

If they don't blow belts every day it is a good way to maximize torque transfer. Tuned right and the engine is always at peak torque.

if is the key word there!!!!  so they offer a factory e85 400 hp tune. if that will survive some heft abuse in glamis on a hot day w/o blowing a belt daily then it may a real improvment!!

I'm of the opinion that most blown belts are due to owner clutch "tuning" .   I was at the dunes a few days last week and sat around listening to quite a few that were obviously WAYYYYYY off. The belts had to be smoking.

i wonder how many are off from the factory? cvt tuning isn't  as simple as most think. it's not something that just anyone can do imo. i do know with every power upgrade one does need to tune the clutch's for the change.  deranged will learn a lot about that soon enough. i believe he bought an x3 and we all know he will not leave it stock  rofl

IMO,most think raising the primary engagement rpm is correct since they made all kinds of "improvements" that raised the rpm of peak torque but they overshoot and at peak engine torque they are slipping the shit out of it. Pure heat.

yep.

they are also playing the heat for the majority of there duning. compund problem but the cvt seems to be the simplest or cheapest way to transmit power. personally i think its the simplest way as the cvt has an infinate gear ration between pre set low/high gears. power to weigh is horrible in all except robby gordons.  his are offered 400 hp factory so 2k lbs at 400 hp ( did not specify tq).  x3 is like 180? hp at 1850 lbs now? i do not know the tq either but a 3 cyl 1000cc engine  wont match hp.

I forget now. What engine is in it?

not a lot of info out there yet but looks like ......The Speed UTV engine is a dual-cylinder 999cc, single turbo engine that features a 98mm bore and 66.2mm stroke. 4 valves per cylinder in a DOHC configuration work in conjunction with 2 injectors per cylinder, forged pistons, forged rods, and a forged crank. Porting is designed by leading NASCAR/Indy Car racing engineers.

says 225 hp to 300 stock however i read a 400 hp tune on e85 only was offered new. i don't see that in a simple google search but read that on there site not long ago.

FWIW,there's a reason they don't show it in any dune action. It's intended for open desert/trails. It probably performs very well there. Put a constant heavy load(sand dunes) on it and all you have is another belt eating SXS.
