Everything you ever wanted to know about FOA's is located somewhere in this thread. There is also a lot of BS contained within............

Thanks for the link. I only know of one guy who runs them. He is a fellow Woodsbuggy owner and friend. He runs the 2.5 piggy backs on the front of his Buggy. Keeping in mind that he offered to be a Beta tester for MotoChris on them. Being a Machinist by trade he was not pleased with the quailty of the first set. He relayed the problems to Chris and was sent another set that were quite an Improvement.  He has been running them for 2 years and is very Happy with there performance.  Another Riding Buddy and I are about to order a set each of the 2.5 14" coil overs with remote Res's  for the rear of our Buggys to replace the limited Torsions and emulsions.

Do they tune like a King or a Fox or have a method all their own?

I believe they are valved the same way, but I have not had mine apart, I ordered them from FOA and told them the weight of the car in the rear and they pretty much nailed the valving, at least very close. I think I could soften up the springs a tad...

Fox and King each use different shims. I was wondering if FOA used one or the other or their own proprietary shims as King and Fox do.

Would you be able to post some close ups of them and the machining quality?  I haven't looked lately but hadn't been able to find any elsewhere. No hurry but yesterday would be fine. ;D rofl

The bodies are not machined they are cast alum. That's where the cost savings are. I have heard you can replace the guts with king parts and they are much more tuneable
