If I knew my base was identical to yours I would say YES already. Imma pop out to the garage and see if its got say 3* or 4*.  If you have the steel for the cross bars handy then it would save me going to finding it.

I might need to take a pic of my base frame. See if its the same.

Heres a few snaps of mine. The little part of the bed on the outside of the blade is 6 inches long and its got a few degrees angle to it.

Does it appear to be the same?

(I should take pics of my Deer hunting blind. It looks like my back porch. You have to get them off the porch first or you gotta clean the porch after...)

I know this is completely off topic but I had to duck down to the shop and grab a pic of the lathe. Rick this is what a lathe should look like. Yes it gets periodic cleaning, no its not left like this always but, this is its life... Mate, its a lathe, it cuts metal and with bits of steel and cutting fluid spraying everywhere this is how it should look. Wow I didnt realise that was so out of focus. but you dont need focus to see chips and oil and stains... a working, 'mans' lathe, not a pussy clean one..  5:

That's a lazy man's lathe that no one wants to take care of because they didn't have to pay for it.  ;D

A clean shop like ricks is a sure sign of an obsessed, compulsive, sick mind! Glad someone else has a  lathe looks like mine. Hell ricks buggy would be done if he quit wasting time polishing his tools.

Yeah Rick get to work on the buggy! I need someone to meet up with now that Bug is gone.

I may go to LS in April but I will have to make the trip alone. 15 hrs one way... Really thinking about it! Would be easier to have a riding partner

I've worked with many machinists over the years and without exception the best of the best have always been meticulous and possibly even a little anal.
Their machines are always the cleanest in the shop. Their tools arranged neatly every day before they leave. One guy's stuff is always so neat you'd think he measured the gaps between each item on his bench. I'm not quite there yet, but I'm trying to do better.

I'd never be ready by April. Got side tracked again tonight.
I'll be lucky to finish it this year.
