I'd love to get a world wide build log going! Who's going to do the drawings?

I'd love to get a world wide build log going! Who's going to do the drawings?

l would volunteer but l need help switching the computer on ::)

are there such things as free drawing packages that you can down load or do they have to be bought ? , l could spend some time learning if l had a basic drawing program,

got any pics of the engine and gearbox you are planning on using RC ?
is it manual or auto ?
how big do you imagine this buggy to be ? full size or as small as possible ?  if its small would you have to consider a small engine and box like a 3 cylinder, you get the little suzuki/geo overthere dont you ?
we get the vaxhaull ( GM ? ) corsa with a little 3 cylinder 12 valve engine but its a bit wide as its 4 valves per cylinder,
how about cars with a cvt gearbox that would be cool, we get the rover 100, comes as an 16v or 8 v,   the latter is fairly narrow and compact ideal for tucking under/infront of seats, but the cvt would be the intresting bit l think

Murkur XR4Ti, no LSD.  Not many sold so probably all been crushed by now.  But the cars were made in Germany, so the CV's, size???  Lets just import from Europe.

we had an xr4i, 2.8lt v6 over here, again made in germany but the intresting one was the xr8 same body shell but factory fitted 302 v8   finding traction on wet tarmac was always a struggle  :)
how do you measure the cv's ? the diameter of the cup/flange ? if so theres 2  common sizes  100mm and 108mm

You'll be wanting the 108mm, those are the 930's.  100mm are type 2 or 4.

I'm gonna try the BMW 108mm CVs. They are a bit more narrow than 930s so I will lose a bit of angle.

Same diameter as the 930s and CHEAP!! I can get all 4 for under $50....if they do't work, I'll use them on something else down the line.

How 'bout this for a base? Saw one at the Phoenix SSSS a while back. If I had some money, maybe.

hows progress then RC51,
l had some spare time on sunday so l laid out some bits to see how small you could make a single seat buggy, about an 85" wheel base was as tight as l could down to, cabin width works out about 40" wide,

Looks good to me...I was thinking about the motor/trans kinda under the seats (2 seater, I hope). That would build some room in the cabin and keep the COG lower...makes the seats sit up like a truck though. Check out the ecotec ranger...they put the motor up to the stock cvt but it ifts UNDER the seat! http://www.youtube.com/v/JCIBzP5I7_k

I thought the idea is cool but the guy is an idiot for thinking he could go up the rock face...even dry it would be a challenge for a 'real' crawler!
