Entertainment Wagon
« on: August 22, 2015, 10:41:35 AM »
This is the build I asked about in the other thread. It is to be given away anonymously at the SSSS. I have about 7 days over the next 3 weeks to get it done.

The scope of the build....

It will be a fully suspended wagon with the Yeti cooler in the seating area, the BBQ will be hung from the cage above it that pulls out and up to use, the roof will be a solar panel and charger to charge the battery for the 240 watt stereo and lighting / whips.

I am leaving one thing out until later.

Wish me luck

Here's the start.

Sweet. You going to sass?  Stop by for dinner.  I would say stay the night but the daughter unit has taken control of the guest bedroom for a little bit.

Yea it's a lot to do but a have built it 100 different ways in my mind as a spend my days driving the big rig.

I'll post a few pics of what I have done so far tonight. Yesterday was mostly spent setting up the bender, some practice welding (it's been a long time) and some planning as this is the first time I've have all the parts together at onetime.

Cool Dwight.  You have your work cut out for you.  Someone going to be surprised at the SSSS this year.

If I believe I cannot do something it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe that I can, then I acquire the ability to do it , even if I didn't have it at the beginning.

Well I managed to get on the road today without taking any pics of the progress. I have the bottom rails built, front suspension supports built where the A arms bolt to. It was kind of slow starting with setting up the new tools and trip to town for cutoff wheels and hardware. Next week I hope to get the cage done, finish front A arms and start on the racks to hold cooler and BBQ.

I knew it was an ambitious project for such a short time period and have decided it will not be done. It was becoming to rushed and not fun with the time constraints.

So we are leaving in the morning and just going to take our time getting to the SSSS and stopping to see family on the way.

Well it looks fun.  You got that bender working.   Look on the bright side, a more relaxed project will be better.  It will still be just as appreciated.
