   OK Doug good news's on the welders.  I just talked to a neighbour of mine that is and electrician out at Cessna east where I got the welders.  He seen the two I have and told me that it was he that disconnected them.  He said that they were only used four years and then the shop was shut down.  Said that it was a tube welding shop and all that was ever welded was real thin chit.    They have been setting there doing nothing since 2000.   So looks like you have a four year old machine.

Well,hell I bought one too. At least I'm going to look at the remaining ones Thurs Morning. If all goes well with the lathe aucton tomorrow I'll be on my way with yours Fri or First of week Doug. If I don't score the lathe doug,you'll be the first to know. I know you want those welders in your hands.

depending on what she comes with and true condition if you could get her for between 10,000 - 15,000 I believe it would be good, BUT... If you want a full chucker lathe I know where there is a Dainichi that just came out of a school in excellent shape for under $10,000. I went and looked at her yesterday with great interest!

after a quick glance of the EZ paths, seems like you could get into one for under 10,000 as well.

This one will do what someone else wants it to do. Went over my price ceiling. Was worth it likely but in these times I'm sure something else will come along. Sorry ,Doug,I really wanted to get the machine and bring your welders to you when I picked it up  but ,alas, it ain't gonna happen.

Wow what a small world. I was just on the phone with a machinery dealer down that way where your machine was and  I got to talking with him and mentioned the lathe you were looking at, He said yup thats one of ours. He actually thought of me while he had that machine.

I looked at that chucker Full CNC yesterday that you may consider. Nice machine but too small for me. Under $10,000

Im working on the possibility of a HAAS SL20 fully loaded for around $30,000

I took a bunch of pics. Ill upload them and post them up. It is a 1997 (I think) Dainichi. Control is the Fanuc OT.
