I havn't had a chance this week to get back to the shop.  I'll put into service your recommendations and get back wtih you.  Thanks for your input.

Wall thickness for most of my material is .90 or 1/8".
Note the globby welds.  All of these are easily peeled off with pliers.  I'll have another go at it this weekend.

The welds you see on the T-joints are done with flux core which is what I'm about to go back to before I have no hair left on my head.

I guess a picture is worth a thousand words.  The voltage is maxed out, to get more I'd have to hook it up to my flux capacator.  After more experimentation I went back to flux core and got things tacked on nice and tight.  I don't think the 125 is good for much more than tacking.  If only I had known.
