Travis Pastrana tried to do pretty much the same thing in his monster truck on Nitro Circus, and landed on the roof...

I personally don't have the balls to do any back flips on any motorized anything so it is all great to watch, but I do pre-fer the truck back flips. I see that one as a much larger chanllenge than a bike or quad. just think about what it takes to attempt such a act let alone land it!!!!!!

Ya know,the BIG AIR stuff is really impressive but there was just something about that little tiny backflip that really really impressed me more.

They removed the body so it wouldn't get smashed if he didn't land.  Them bodies can be worth over 10 grand, so I can see why they'd take it off.  Tom Meents (Maximum Destruction) did a flip during a freestyle on Monster Jam once, but not a clean landing, landed on his nose and then fell back, but it wasn't on a "flip" prepared ramp, either!  And he kept going for more after!!
