Bullnerd found this and posted it on MBN. I told him I would pop it here with credit for him finding it.
This is home engineering at its finest.

Welllllll.......I can't find it doing a search so maybe I'm just hallucinationg anyway (more likely on the old crashed site tho). I thought it was cool as hell when I first saw it. Very glad you posted it today.

BTW, tell BN thanks.

Good idea.
I wonder if you could use a spring that you release with a pedal instead of the jack to hold it.

I think you were thinking the same as I was thinking?
No jack, simple foot lever to aply pressure, release pedal release pressure. Would suck for tig thou, cause you'd have to use both feet. None the less, a cool little table. And a comfy seat and weld position are 1/3 of a good weld job.

Been a while since I posted but I really wanted to bump this. First time I've seen one of these and what can you say. I'm just wondering about the series of events that led up to this thing. Good smoke and a slow day at the shop ? I don't know if a twelve pack would have been enough to carry this idea to a finished product. A case probably, but either way, just impressive. The cool stuff people come up with. I'll be checking the yard sales for a bowling ball on my next day off.
Seems like one of those things that once you've had it you'll never understand what you did before you had it. Great tool, no matter who posted it first.
