Came up to about 18.5 but still had a good head wind. Moved the trailer from the farm to DS's tonight. Set the CC at 60 on 92 & 15 and it was getting 10.5. And it did not drop speed on the hills and only had to down shift on 2. Those were short steep ones. It adjusted gained back and shift back. It will be interesting to see what it dose on the LS trip.

A 4" exhaust and cold air intake will give you 5 mpg more. That is still good for an 8500 pound truck! :D :D :D

The factory used 3 1/4" exhaust, so the only way to know is the measure it.

Yep it is an 8' bed. Only thing to make it bigger is duals. It is soooooo stable towing the trailer. I just love the long trucks.

I pulled my 43 footer with one just like it with no problems at all. I got the dually now just for the extra tires on the road.

I had been looking for a 3/4 ton like my old one just with the diesel. But I came across this and it was a bonus. Would have done a dually at the right price to. But I do like the single rears for driving around the rest of the time. Not to mention someone in the house has a problem with a wider at the rear vehicle. Dually fenders could have been a constant repair item.

Sometime compare the payloads of that truck to a dually 1 ton. You'll be surprised.

The payload of the single rear wheel is actually more than the dually rear wheels. 8) 8) 8)

1 ton SRW GVWR 9900lb, frt 4800lb, rear 6500lb.
1 ton DRW GVWR 11400lb, frt 4800lb, rear 8200lb.

Info off door tags on ebay adds. For same year trucks, both 4WD(4wd can carry less do to weight of 4x4 t-case, axle etc) Only difference in trucks is single or duals on back.

That SRW is the std duty 2500. The HD models are basically the same as DRW
