mine was off a saturn vue 2003. had to run the black box with the adjustable sensitivity knob. I did away with the adjustment. i found it was always turned all the way up.  this is my 2nd unit. burned the first one up at the car wash or river.   you have to seal the circuit  board / box. I just flex sealed mine new one. time will tell how well it works. this is the only draw back i have found.  the after marked ones have the sealed box/board.

as a precaution i sealed what i could with silicone. i know that the hole behind the box is a vent hole so i used some lawnmower air filter material and suffed that in the hole for use in the sand. now having looked inside thousands upon thousands of electric window motors lol  and now taking apart the vue eps, i can say these eps's are overgrown window motors. now i will say the larger the "plastic gear" inside it the stronger that unit is. think about how much abuse that plastic gear is handling!   for engines like carls or jon's, dougs , fabr's etc etc bike, w/o an alternator the lower amp units would be better. i would bet an eps off a utv would be a good choice. those 1000 cc utv's are stock 1400 lbs to 2k lbs in a 2 seater on the show room floor and thousands of them totaled out there! that matrix or prius eps might be a good solution as i bet there lower amperage too.

yaris still uses a 50 amp fuse from factory. probably would take a good shot to the wheel at full assist to every draw that.

GREAT INFO GUYS!!!!! This gets a sticky!
"There can be no divided allegiance here.  Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one
flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is
the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a
loyalty to the American people."

I don't know what the issue is . As DS said,I think it should work for you as it does for him and others. You might PM yummi and see if he has an answer.
