idler bearings

soo.. what if someone took one of the bearings that you guys use for wheel stubs and axles shafts, and put it in an idler sprocket..  would it handle just fine?

so like a 15 tooth sprocket welded to a small short shaft with bearings on either side?

If i wanted it to last id use a larger sprocket and larger bearings and shaft....

the bigger the sprocket the slower the bearings will spin
