I haven't been to one of these in a while because 4 wheelers aren't allowed, but decided this was the year to venture out once again into the jungle adventure on the sandbars and  multiple channels of Platte River we call "Jeep Jam". A 4 day event (or all week if you are feeling particularly spunky) held outside of  Central City, Nebraska every August, featuring all sorts of Jeeps..
And trucks...
And airboats...
And coolers!!!
Lots and lots of coolers..

















Nice cooler here.. Good idea on mounting solution..

was that this week? i have been there 3 times in the past. only when the river was almost dry to dry. i took the rails and had a blast however a few the of the jeep club didn't seem to like something that fast zooming around but the rest loved it. i have to assume those few that did not were just upset they couldn't track something that fast so it disturbed there already disturbed brains  :D ;) rofl 

had a 10 mile flat out run back then but thats been 10 to 12 years ago now.

Always the 1st weekend in August. It is a good time, and the evening hours create a whole new dimension on the river. All the crazies come out of the woodwork and let loose, or find a quiet sandbar away from it all, or live music, whatever yer thing is.. And they raffle off a restored/built jeep every year. This years jeep would probably go for around $15k I'm guessing..

This is getting lined up for the group photo.. I haven't seen the final photo from the crane, but heard it was the largest ever.

Looks like a great time!!  Who wouldn't enjoy all those coolers, diff colors, sizes, shapes, and models?  :m
So looks like goal is too make from one tent in the river to next, so ya see all the coolers.

OK,since no one else has said it yet-------------------------------------those Nebraska girls are fairly well fed. Normal in todays world for sure but I don't think I saw a single actually slender one in any of the cooler pics.  ;) ;)  Oh shit,there went my PC trophy for the year................ ;D ;D :m

Most of those coolers hold 30 packs, and should be put on bottom so they dont crush the delicates. 

My guess Enemy is holding out on the tall skinny Michelob style.  No way in hell that night goes w/o some VIP stuff. LOL
