Worst case scenario even if the bleeder is not orientated up ,it could be bled by removing it ,placing an appropriate sized spacer between the pads and bleeding it while vertical. Then replace on machine.
Won't work. Outlet would still not be on the top. Air would still be trapped in the cavity above the port inside the caliper. Removing the caliper and bleeding it isn't a big deal since you shouldn't have to do it but once. Just find something approx the same thickness as the rotor ,place between pads and bleed that sucka.
